What does Malik do at MyPetMath?

I research, build and write everything on MyPetMath: 14 calculators and charts, 6 guides and the blog. For each tool I find the formula vets and veterinary researchers use, write it in code once, test it against worked examples, and then explain it in plain English with the math shown on the page.

I’m not a veterinarian, and I don’t present the site as veterinary advice. No page has been reviewed by a vet yet. If that changes, the page will name the vet and the review date.

Which sources does Malik rely on?

I start with veterinary references and guidelines (the Merck Veterinary Manual, AAHA, WSAVA and AAFP), then university veterinary schools such as Cornell, then peer-reviewed studies. I open every source I cite and list it at the end of the page, with a link where one exists. I don’t use other calculator websites as sources. The full order of preference is in our editorial policy, and every formula is listed on how we calculate.

How is each page checked before it goes live?

  • Every formula has automated tests with known answers, run on each change.
  • An automated validator checks every page for sources, dates, a direct answer, broken links and structured data before the site can deploy.
  • Each number in a guide or post is checked against the source it cites. Where sources disagree, the page says so and shows both.
  • Every calculator, guide and post carries a vet disclaimer, and every blog post has a “When to call your vet” section. We never give medication doses.

How do corrections work?

If you spot an error, send it through the contact page or email contact@mypetmath.com. I fix confirmed factual errors promptly and update the page’s “Last updated” date. When a change affects calculator results, the methodology page notes what changed and when. The corrections policy has the details.
